CBC Radio Sunday Edition June 24: TWU vs LSUC and LSBC

I was invited to chat with Michael Enright about the TWU decisions released by the Supreme Court of Canada on June 15.  The cases arose after TWU challenged the refusals of two law societies (in BC and Ontario) to accredit its law program.  TWU has long faced controversy over its mandatory Community Covenant which stipulates a range of prohibited behaviour, including sexual intimacy outside of heterosexual marriage.  The law societies believed it would be condoning discrimination to accredit such a program.  In a 7-2 decision (with split further into 4 opinions) , the Supreme Court found those decisions to be reasonable.

This was my first appearance on this very well-known program.
